The Road to Rights
The Road to Rights is an award-winning youth-led voluntary organization established in 2009 in Sri Lanka aimed at supporting and empowering young people through creating opportunities, skills development, creativity, and innovation by taking a human rights-based approach towards peace and sustainable development. We are proud to share that The Road to Rights received the prestigious United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Action People’s Choice Award By United Nations in Bonn Germany, 2018.
Our roots go back to 1998 where this organization was developed as a dream of an 8 year old boy who wanted to serve the non- facilitated community. United Children’s Club was developed in 1998 and today that small step has developed a huge network of young people across the globe advocating for Peace and Sustainable development.
Support and Empower young people to become resilient while creating opportunities, skills development, creativity, and innovation by taking a human rights-based approach towards peace and sustainable development.
To bring together communities for Peace and Sustainable development
To create an inclusive platform for young people to advocate for Sustainable development and Human Rights Education
To create opportunities and Skills development through unique initiatives and educational courses.
